Equine Flu

What to look out for:
• Fever (up to 41 °C) after 1–5
days incubation
• Frequent dry, hacking cough
• Nasal discharge, moving from clear to
thick
• Lethargic, loss of appetite
• Foals or weak horses may die
• High number of horses exposed will get
sick
• Virus can spread on equipment and in trucks
